The Grandeur series has been a challenge. Despite never leaving a series unfinished before, I've made the difficult decision to press pause and restart it completely in 2025. Why? Because you deserve storytelling that flows naturally and maintains the quality you've come to expect. This transparency might seem unusual in the podcasting world, but our community thrives on authenticity.
Looking ahead, we're diving into uncharted territory with "Death a Peace of Mind," an 80s-inspired psychological thriller that will push the boundaries of what Gentleman's Journey has explored before. This kicks off our thriller-focused September, followed by four Halloween series in October, four Thanksgiving-themed stories in November, and four Christmas specials in December. The creative roadmap is set, and I couldn't be more excited about where we're headed.
What's truly humbled me during this brief hiatus has been the outpouring of concern from listeners worldwide. Your messages checking on my wellbeing have meant everything. Hello and welcome to the Gentleman's Journey podcast. My name is Anthony, your host, and today, you know, guys, we're going to get a little personal here. I'm going to give you guys a little update what's going on. We're going to talk about grandeur and kind of what you can expect here this next couple months. So let's go ahead and let's just get into it as I take a drink of coffee here. Okay. So here's the thing, guys.
Speaker 1:So, as you saw, I haven't recorded for the past couple weeks and, long story short, I started working out again to get healthy and somehow I gave myself a concussion, so I really haven't been able to be that creative that you know. My, my flow wasn't good. Nothing was really good. And honestly, with grandeur I don't know how to admit this, so I'm just going to admit it it was getting very convoluted and something like that series needs a lot of detail and I got stuck in it. I really got stuck. I didn't really know where I wanted the character to go. So here's what's going to be. So if you're a fan of it, don. So here's what's going to be. So if you're a fan of it, don't worry. Here's what's going to happen.
Speaker 1:We're going to start the year with grandeur. We're going to go, we're going to do it all over again. There's going to be some changes that you're going to see, but we're going to start grandeur at the beginning of the year. So I'm going to hold up the episodes right now, right, but just know that the beginning of those episodes can be taken off and we're going to start grandeur again at the beginning of the year. So I'm going to say that. That was. I'm going to be honest, guys, it's something I debated myself a lot with, you know, because I've never not finished a series. I haven't. And at the same time, I never want to do you guys a disservice. I never want my stuff to be convoluted, I never want my stuff to be hard to figure out. And yeah, I mean that's just kind of where we are with Grandeur. So again, I want to make sure this is clear we are going to start grandeur at the beginning of the year. So grandeur will start the beginning of the year. It'll start the whole new series or whole new year of of gent's journey. That will start with grandeur now, since we got that out of the way. So here's some things that are going to be coming up next.
Speaker 1:Okay, so we're going to do death a peace of mind. I know I've been talking about this for the past couple months, but let me take another drink here. Hold on, why today just seems like my throat's very dry, so I don't know what's going on. But anyways, so with death a peace of mind, this is something I'm very excited about this series. Because here's the thing this series is going to pretty much kind of sort of start our Halloween series. Let me tell you what I mean by that. This series is going to be our um, it's going to. There's going to. There's actually gonna be two series this month. There's gonna be this one and another one coming up.
Speaker 1:Okay, so, with death the peace of mind, I'm just going to tell you right now this one is not going to be for the faint of heart. It's it's a. It's an eighties gritty crime drama it's about the best way I can explain drama. Thriller, right. Drama it's about the best way I can explain drama, thriller, right. And these are going to be very brutal. Killings like there's, there's going to be killing involved in this is going to be very brutal, very ritualistic, kind of setting us up for how the halloween series that'll be happening here next month. It's crazy we're already in september, uh, but that'll be happening, um, next month, okay. So, like, this is gonna be a very brutal series, it's gonna be very psychological and I'm telling you I cannot tell you how how how excited I am to do this series because there's so many twists and turns in it and the level of detail is not something we've really done on a visceral level like this. I could tell you that. So it's going to be a lot of fun. It's going to be a little scary and, yeah, this is really going to kind of push the limits of Jen's journey, for sure. And, yeah, this is really going to kind of push the limits of Jen's journey, for sure. Now, as I'm saying that, and I know this for sure that this may turn you off a little bit, and that's okay. You don't have to listen to this series if you want. But I'm going to tell you that this is going to be a very layered series and we're always going to do like we always do on these episodes, to where there is going to be a self-development part of this, and we're going to put a little twist on that too, and you'll see that coming up here in the first episode, which will be actually launched right after this episode that I'm doing right now.
Speaker 1:Now, as we're talking about episodes, so let's talk about this. So this month of September is going to be our thriller series, right, there's going to be this one, you know, death, peace of Mind. There'll be another series right after that. That'll be a very thriller-like series. And then we're going to go into our, you know, going into October, and that will all be centered around Halloween. So there's going to be each series will be one week, so there will be four series in total, and those are going to be very fun. They're going to be scary. It's going to be a really, really, really good time. Now, after that, we go into November. November, obviously, here in the States it's all about Thanksgiving, so that's all going to be very Thanksgiving themed. There's going to be four series around that. And then, obviously, christmas, there's going to be four series evolved around that, and then now, you know, beginning of the year, we're going to start off with grandeur all over again. So that's kind of where we're at right now.
Speaker 1:I do want to say a couple different things here, though One I've had people reach out to me to make sure that I'm okay and to make sure that I'm doing well. And I just want to say this it means the absolute world to me that I have such caring fans. I do this for you, guys. You know there's times when I don't want to do this, where I just I don't have the mental, you know, not capability, but just the how do we say this. I'm exhausted sometimes, right, but I do this for you because I know this is what you guys love and I love giving you what you guys love. So there's that. And also too and I'm going to be honest here, guys, it is so it's just so nice to have people in this audience that are listening right now, care about me enough to send me a message.
Speaker 1:I cannot tell you honestly, from the bottom of my heart, how much it means to me that you guys care. We're building an amazing community with this, and you know and what's so crazy? As I talk about this, you know that we're I've been listening to sorry as a car, as a cop passes, um, you know, I've been getting emails from people all around the world. It's crazy the reach that Gents Journey started to have, and that's because of you guys. You know I don't really do a lot of marketing with Gents Journey, as you guys can see, but it's because of what I always ask you to do is like share this with a family member or a friend who needs to hear this, and you guys are getting the message out and, realistically, there is no Jen's Journey without you guys. And I guess that's what I really wanted to say is that I can't tell you again how much I appreciate every single one of you. It just I'm just so grateful and just so honored to be doing this with you guys.
Speaker 1:So, like I said, just to kind of give a summary again, grandeur will be no more. We're going to start Grandeur at the beginning of next year, so the beginning of 2026, we will do Grandeur. So the series that's coming up right after this episode is going to be death of peace of mind. There'll be another episode after that and then we're going to our holiday season, so it's going to be 4 series for October, 4 series for November, 4 series for December. So that's what? 12 series in total, because that's 12 weeks, okay. So again, guys, thank you for everyone who's reached out to me.
